In the following letter written to Mrs. Faiga Heber in the year 5717, the Rebbe explained that notwithstanding the seeming difficulties and financial strain of working for נשי ובנות חב"ד it is in fact the very working for a מוסד קודש that will help alleviate one’s anxieties and financial strain: בנועם קראתי במכתב בעלה שליט״א על דבר ההמשך בעסקנותה במסגרת נשי ובנות חב״ד, אף שמוסיף שקצת מבלבלות בזה דאגות שונות דפרנסה חובות וכיוצא בזה. ובודאי למותר להסביר באריכות, אשר התעסקות האמורה היא אחת הסגולות למיעוט דאגות האמורות, ועל פי הוראת תורתנו תורת חיים, המקבל עליו עול תורה מעבירים ממנו עול דרך ארץ. ומדייקים חכמינו ז״ל לאמר עול זאת אומרת אף שנדמה הדבר לקשה ולפעמים אינו מסתבר כל כך בשכל ובהבנה, בכל זה על האדם לעשותו בדרך קבלת עול, וזהו העצה למיעוט עול עניני עולם, עול דרך ארץ...

You are, of course, quite right in believing that your husband's personal Shiurim, as well as public activity in the fountains of Chassidus and of Yiddishkeit, have a priority, both in person and in time. Moreover, when the Parnosso situation is not the same as it was, and the Yetzer Hora tries to confuse a person and beguile him so that he should reduce his time devoted to Torah and Mitzvoth - it is necessary to tell the Yetzer Hora in no uncertain terms that he is indeed a "fool"; for, obviously, when an additional Divine blessing is needed, it is necessary to add and increase the vessels for such Divine blessing and the channels to receive it, and not vice versa, G-d forbid. This is quite obvious.
